Following Adele on the Album chart is Michael Buble’s Christmas (#2, 2.4m), Lady Gaga’s Born This Way (#3, 2.1m), Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV (#4, 1.9m), Jason Aldean’s My Kinda Party (#5, 1.6m), Mumford & Sons’ Sigh No More (#6, 1.4m), Drake’s Take Care (#7, 1.25m), Justin Bieber’s Under the Mistletoe (#8, 1.24m), Jay Z & Kanye West’s Watch the Throne (#9, 1.2m) and Lady Antebellum’s Own the Night (#10, 1.2m). Only three other albums sold more than a million, including Beyonce’s 4 (#11, 1.05m), Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream (#12, 1m) and Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto (#13, 1m). Lucian Grainge’s UMG boasted five of those top 13, EMI had three and Sony two (with RED accounting for two more in Aldean and Mumford) and WMG one. On the Digital Songs chart, Adele is followed by LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” (#2, 5.5m), Katy Perry’s “E.T.” (#3, 4.8m), Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera’s ”Moves Like Jagger” (#4, 4.1m), Pitbull f/Ne-Yo and Afrojack’s “Give Me Everything” (#5, 3.9m), Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks” (#6, 3.8m), Adele’s “Someone Like You” (#7, 3.7m), Cee Lo Green’s “Fuck You” (#8, 3.7m), Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” (#9, 3.6m) and Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” (#10, 3.5m).
