MYSPACE TO TV: Myspace TV will be made available on the next generation of Panasonic VIERA HDTVs, it was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas yesterday by company CEO Tim Vanderhook and co-owner Justin Timberlake. Initial channels will be music-focused, but will also encompass movies, news, sports and reality channels, with a growing lineup of broadcast and on-demand content. Myspace TV will also allow viewers to chat about what they’re watching while they’re watching it and invite friends to participate with them virtually. Said Timberlake: “We’re ready to take television and entertainment to the next step by upgrading it to the social networking experience. This is the evolution of one of our greatest inventions, the television. And, we no longer have to crowd around the same one to experience it together. You could say they're in sync. Or not." (1/10a)
