BRITS PIX: Adele’s gonna have to rest her vocal cords between the Grammys on Feb. 12 and the BRIT Awards on the 21st. She’s up for Best British Album of the Year for 21, as well as Best British Female Solo Artist and Best British Single of the Year—the nominated song being "Someone Like You," rather than “Rolling in the Deep.” Adele is up against Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto in the British Album category, and the band also got a nod for Best British Group. Florence + the Machine also got some love: she’s nominated, oddly, for British Female Solo Artist, while Ceremonials is another Best British Album nom, as is PJ Harvey’s Let England Shake and Ed Sheeran’s + (nope, we haven’t heard that last one either). There are also four international categories, including International Breakthrough Act, a battle between (in alphabetical order) Aloe Blacc, Bon Iver, Foster the People, Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj.
