HOW GREEN IS THE ’GARDEN? The reunited Soundgarden, whose “Live to Rise” is Top 10 at both Alternative and Active Rock, and prominently featured on Hollywood’s Avengers Assembled soundtrack (see 5/8 item), is a hot free agent for both records and publishing. Manager Gary Gersh is reportedly fielding bids from a number of interested parties. The film bowed over the weekend with a record $207 million gross, while the group made a surprise appearance Saturday night at KROQ’s annual Weenie Roast Y Fiesta in Irvine, CA. With an album already finished, produced by Adam Kaspar (Foo Fighters), will the band decide to go with a major label or take the DIY route? Stay tuned. (5/9a)
