Madonna tour close to selling out

RAY OF LIGHT: Who needs a hit album when you can move mega-tickets? Madonna has sold 653k tickets to the 43 North American dates on her upcoming concert tour, Live Nation head of global touring Arthur Fogel told the Wall Street Journal, putting it on track to be one of the top-grossing outings on record. “We are inches from sellout everywhere,” he said. About 30k tickets remain available for the tour’s 36 U.S. shows, and most of those are either single tickets or seats that are set aside for disabled concertgoers, according to Fogel. (5/11a)
