ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE AND GOING STRONG: Columbia Records is celebrating its 125th anniversary with the release of a massive coffee table book, 360 Sound: The Columbia Records Story, commissioning historian Sean Wilentz to write the 90,000-word tome. The book will be published in conjunction with an exhibit at the Grammy Museum in L.A. starting Nov. 7. The N.Y. Times’ Ben Sisario talks to Wilentz and current label head Rob Stringer about the tome, which you can read here. Commented Stringer about the book: “If we had no records in the charts, I’m not sure we would have been commissioned it.” (10/30p)
