Tombrink upped

SOMEBODY THAT WE KNOW VERY WELL: Republic continues to reward its crack promo team with the promotion of Trina Tombrink to VP Triple A Promotion & Artist Development. Said Monte Lipman, who made the announcement this morning: "Trina has paved the way for some of our most exciting young acts at radio. With impressive devotion and dedication, she always exceeds the call of duty, not only raising awareness at the format but fostering and developing the artists' respective brands as well. It's an honor to have her on our team." Added Tombink: "At this point in my career, the excitement and thrill of breaking new artists is what gets me up in the morning. Going forward, I want to maintain our status as number one at the format. Monte and Avery are a fantastic team and I have the most respect for them. Both of those gentlemen empower their people. I believe that's one of many reasons why the label is so strong right now. Together, we're going to continue to accomplish some amazing things." Tombrink joined Republic in 2008 as Sr. Director of Triple A after 16 years at Columbia. Republic was recently named the #1 Triple A label of 2012, scoring with such acts as Gotye, Of Monsters and Men, the Avett Brothers and Ben Howard. (12/17a)
