MORE FUN GRAMMY WEEK ACTIVITIES: On Thursday of Grammy Week (that’s Feb. 7), the Grammy Foundation will host Play It Forward: A Celebration of Music's Evolution and Influencers, featuring live performances and archival footage from its preservation archives. Performers include Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris, who have an album coming out in February, Ed Sheeran and singer/songwriter Lianne La Havas, as well as “other artists to be announced shortly,” the press release promises. The evening's musical director will be Nashville-based producer/writer Darrell Brown, who also happens to be a Recording Academy Trustee and Grammy Foundation Board member. Neil Portnow will be in attendance—but we didn’t need a press release to figure that out. This event, the latest annual installment of the Grammy Foundation Music Preservation Project, will take place at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. General admission tickets are $35 a pop, and premium seating is $45. For tickets and info, head to www.grammyfoundation.org or http://wl.flavorus.com/sabantheatre/PlayItForward. (12/21a)
