Cudi off Kanye's label

NO KIDDING: Kid Cudi is no longer on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, the rapper revealed during an on-air interview with KPWR’s Yesi Ortiz yesterday. “Man, everything is cool,” said Cudi. “Everything is peace with everyone on the label, but...I’m no longer on G.O.O.D. Music. And this is something that no one knows, really. Me and Kanye were talking on the phone the other day, and these are things I wanted to talk to him about. About me wanting to start my own direction, and he got it because he’s trying to start his new path, and trying new things as an artist. And he was just like, ‘Man, I feel you. It’s cool.’ This is just from a business standpoint. There’s no beef, there’s no problems with anyone on the label. It’s all love,” Cudi continued. “It’s not a bad thing. It just means that little baby with that dress on ain’t gonna be on my album sleeve.” The G.O.O.D. Music roster includes John Legend, Q-Tip, Pusha T, Big Sean, Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) and Mr Hudson. Cudi’s Indicud is scheduled to street April 23 on Republic. Cudi was formerly on Universal Motown. We weren't aware of him ever being on G.O.O.D. Music in the first place. (4/3a)
