SURPRISE, SURPRISE: Those rumors are true—the Rolling Stones are playing a surprise show at L.A.’s relatively intimate Echoplex, and it isn’t a surprise that there’s a mass of humanity queuing up for the ticket lottery; tokens are being handed out right now not at the Echoplex but at the El Rey, for some reason. In other words, if you’re just finding out about this stunner now, you’re way too late. If you’d been lucky enough to snag a ducat, it would’ve set you back 20 bucks. (4/27a)
