TGiTUNES CHARTS: Baz Luhrmann’s characteristically flamboyant take on The Great Gatsby may be getting ripped to shreds by reviewers, but Jay-Z’s imaginatively curated soundtrack is getting off to a great start on the digital side. So much so that the Interscope debut is outpacing Capitol Nashville’s Lady A, which will almost certainly be the runaway chart-topper next Tuesday. Another soundtrack—Big Machine’s cast recording of ABC’s Nashville potboiler—is also standing tall on this spring Friday morning, bringing the total of country LPs on the leaderboard to four. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake and Imagine Dragons have nabbed spots on both charts in a classic example of singles fueling album sales while significantly adding to the bottom line themselves. The new arrival is “#Beautiful” from Mariah Carey with up-and-comer Miguel; we’ll be watching closely how it does in its first week. (5/10a)
