LET'S TALK ABOUT DANCING: The second annual EDMbiz conference, launched "to promote and facilitate thoughtful discussion on the most pertinent topics relevant to dance music culture," will bring its glowstick collection to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on June 18-20 (also known as Electric Daisy Carnival week). Speakers will include Live Nation's James Barton, CAA's Rob Light, artist-impresario Perry Farrell, WME's Marc Geiger, EDC presenter Insomniac's Pasquale Rotella and John Boyle, SiriusXM programmer Geronimo and many more. Light's keynote "conversation" will include discussion of "the Daft Punk effect," which is presumably some kind of mandatory helmet law. Live Nation chief Michael Rapino, one of last year's keynote speakers, called the event "a great experience." Rumors that our own Ivana will offer a presentation on the mating habits of the North American cricket couldn't be confirmed at presstime. (5/22p)
