Weekly marketshare

WEEKLY MARKETSHARE: Robin Thicke’s robust 174.3k first week plus another tidy 26.5k from Imagine Dragons put IGA on top in new-release share by a sizable margin. But check out CMG, which logged one of the strongest showings of the Barnett era to finish #2, thanks to a hefty 113.6k boost from the Caroline-distribbed Five Finger Death Punch, along with contributions from Now 46 (#30, 10.6k) and the debuting Michael Franti & Spearhead (#34, 9.5k). Columbia had another solid week behind Emblem3, which bowed with 41.6k to finish #7, while getting some unexpected juice from Billy Joel, who turned out to be the big winner in iTunes’ $6.99 catalog sale last week. J. Cole and Daft Punk also put more points on the board, enriching the share of Team Stringer. Look for Columbia to improve its position on next week’s chart, following the release of The Civil Wars’ sophomore album,. Same with UMe, which has Now 47. (8/7p)
