WOULDN'T IT BE NICE: The term “HITS losers” has never been more accurate than it is this morning, after we emptied our wallets to buy a bunch of Powerball tickets, only to once again come up empty-handed. Indeed, the only time we get close to serious money is when we type it—like now: WillCall, the ticket-finding mobile app, has raised $1.2 million, much of it from Sean Parker, Coran Capshaw, legal eagle John Frankenheimer, Oliver Luckett from theAudience and “A&R and music management force” Bruce Flohr. The new investors have brought WillCall’s total funding to date to $2.1 million. Hey Sean, can we borrow 20 bucks for lunch money? We promise to pay you back on the 15th. (8/8a)
