Top 10 tracks

TOP 10 TRACKS: Fresh faces abound for the second straight week on the big board. Katy Perry and Gaga cooled off in their second weeks, as you’d expect, though the term “cooled” fails to do justice to the nearly 400k units moved by “Roar.” But the real attention-getters were new kids Avicii (#7-3, +27%) and Lorde (#10-6, +35%), who are looking increasingly like the homecoming king and queen of the fall. Lana Del Rey (+15%) wasn’t too shabby herself , moving up two slots and registering a 12% uptick.

1. Katy Perry, “Roar” – 392k
2. Robin Thicke, “Blurred Lines” – 251k
3. Avicii, “Wake Me Up” – 175k
4. Jay Z f/Justin Timberlake, “Holy Grail” – 171k
5. Lady Gaga, “Applause” – 163k
6. Lorde, “Royals” – 145k
7. Miley Cyrus, “We Can’t Stop” – 143k
8. Lana Del Rey, “Summertime Sadness” – 132k
9. Luke Bryan, “That's My Kind of Night” – 125k
10. Imagine Dragons, “Radioactive” – 132k

And if you guessed that Miley Cyrus would have the week's best-selling debut track, you’d be correct. “Wrecking Ball” bowed at #13 with nearly 90k, giving her a grand total of 264k, adding in the units sold on the single that started all this hubbub. Twerk on, gurl. (8/29a)
