THE BEST A CHAIN CAN GET: Cumulus has named Rick Gillette Corporate Program Direction and PD of Pop outlet WRQX/Washington, D.C. Gillette’s most recent gig was PD at CBS-owned WXRK/New York. Cumulus EVP co-COO John Dickey said Gillette “has the experience to handle this challenge,” adding that he looked forward to personally placing a whoopee cushion on Gillette’s chair for April Fools.
