MIKA’S LEFT-COAST MOVE: RCA has named Mika El-Baz EVP West Coast/EVP Publicity, meaning the 10-year Nipper veteran will head up the L.A. office as well as continuing to run the publicity department—but you probably already figured that out. El-Baz “will be relocated” from New York to Los Angeles, the wording suggesting that RCA will graciously cover the costs of the move. Her boss, Tom Corson, praised the exec for her “creativity, tenacity and drive,” while E-Bazthanks Corson and Peter Edge for their support and calls it “a great pleasure to work alongside such a dynamic and excellent executive team at such an incredible time for the label.” (8/5a)
