Peter Gray promoted

GRAY AREA: Warner Bros. has announced that Peter Gray has been upped to the lofty-sounding post of EVP & Head of Promotion. In this expanded role, he’ll will be working closely with label topper Cameron Strang in the strategic direction of company. Gray, who's been busy lately running promo campaigns for The Black Keys, Jason Derulo, Tom Petty, Nico & Vinz, Big Data, Priory and Echosmith, among many others, joined the label in 2011 as SVP Promo. "Peter has been the driving force behind our success across a diversity of radio formats," Strang declared, "leading a dedicated and well-respected team that has helped break new talent and build the careers of superstars. I am pleased to welcome him to this much-deserved post." For his part, Gray said, "The environment at WBR is the most exciting and forward-thinking in the music industry today. I want to applaud the best promotion team in the business and thank Cameron for fostering such a creative and dynamic atmosphere."
