Amy Doyle tease

DOYLE WITH IT: If MTV EVP Music & Talent Strategy Amy Doyle is feeling the pressure that comes with mounting the Video Music Awards—which she’s co-executive-produced since 2009—she’s hiding it really well. “I don’t think there’s a day that goes by where my bosses don’t ask me how we plan to top last year’s show, Amy tells us in our annual pre-VMAs conversation. “But in all honesty, they ask that every year. That’s one of the reasons the show continues to be so culturally relevant—it pushes the boundaries of live music. Every artist is looking to leave their mark and carve out a bit of VMA history.” The VMAs air Sunday night at 9pm ET/PT from the Forum; set your DVRs. (8/21a)
