Who Is Bethany Mota?

GET YOUR MOTA RUNNING: “Need You Right Now” by Bethany Mota premiered on Kid Kraddick’s syndicated Morning Show on Monday and immediately bowed at #3 on iTunes in the U.S. and all over the globe. How did it happen, given that this is the first single by an 18-year-old unsigned artist from Los Banos, CA? Well, Bethany was already a star online, having built a fashion-themed brand; she's partnered with Aeropostale on a new apparel line (launching this weekend), and bankrolled some 7.5m subscribers for her YouTube channel. She's also currently a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. The lyric video above for “Need You,” also debuting this week, has already garnered 1.5m views. Bethany crafted the single with songwriter/producer Mike Tompkins, himself an Internet luminary with beaucoup followers. Look for developments over the next few days to give the track another bump.
