We haven’t quite got our fingers on it yet, but there’s something about He Is We’s Tegan and Sara-meets-An Horse collaboration that’s getting us excited.

WHEELS 2.0 SNAPS IN THE EARBUDS AND POURS THE EGG NOG

As the Year Winds Down, Jesse and Erica Keep the Pedal to the Metal

We’re squeezing in as much talent before we go into hiding for the holiday season. Spread your musical wings and take flight with three great acts this week. And, as always, be sure to keep our ears happy with your selections at [email protected].

ONES TO WATCH
He Is We
(www.purevolume.com/heiswe; @heiswe): Trevor Kelly and Rachel Taylor make up this new, Washington State-based duo signed to manager Jeff Levin’s FrameworkNY. They started out as co-workers at Ted Brown Music and quickly developed a different kind of relationship, fusing their two musical styles to become He Is We. Rachel is into indie rock and melodic metal, while Trevor favors the hardcore, bloody metal, but it works. We haven’t quite got our fingers on it yet, but there’s something about this Tegan and Sara-meets-An Horse collaboration that’s getting us excited. They’re currently in the studio with Michael Warren, and you can look forward to their debut EP, due out in early January.

Dapo Torimiro (www.dapomiroworks.com; @dapotorimiro): This Lagos, Nigeria-born songwriter, composer, pianist and multi instrumentalist is one of the hottest producers in the game right now. The Yamaha-endorsed artist and singer is working on a number of major projects right now, with a song on the upcoming Disney movie, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, three songs with Tony-winning singer/actress Anika Noni Rose for Disney's Princess & The Frog and a featured slot on stage with Andrea Bocelli and David Foster on the PBS special, My Christmas, which premiered Thanksgiving weekend and will continue to air through December. Dapo is currently working on songs for Jennifer Hudson, Musiq Soulchild and David Archuleta; he also has three songs on Toni Braxton’s new album, which streets in February. And keep an ear out for a pair of upcoming singles, written and produced by this up-and-comer: Jordin Sparks’ "No Parade" and Justin Beiber’s "Bigger." It’s only a matter of time before Dapo becomes a household name.

ON DECK
Lisa Bianco
(www.myspace.com/lisabianco; @lisabianco): Emerging from N.Y.’s underground scene, Bianco has come up with an intriguing marriage between punk-rock passion and singer/songwriter introspection. Bridging the gap between the artist and the audience, her vibrant live show has lent itself to a rapidly growing fan base. Her new album, Post-Data, explores the relationship between humans and an information-rich world. Having shared the stage with artists like Regina Spektor and blowing crowds away at CMJ in October, Lisa will be touring the East Coast during the next couple months, so be sure to check her website and catch a date.

BAND/ARTIST UPDATES
Six Gallery
(www.myspace.com/sixgallery; @sixgallery) signs to SuperBall Music, and their debut album Breakthroughs in Modern Art will be re-released March 23.. The band is currently on their "Weekend Warrior" tour and will be playing a special show Dec. 12 at Spike Hill in Brooklyn with their homies Aficionado.
