FIVE MORE FOR VIBE-RATERS

Adam Lambert, Muse, Boys Like Girls, Uncle Kracker and Spoon All Debut on List of New and Developing
American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, still assessing the effect of his controversial AMA performance, enters the HITS Vibe-Rater chart of new and developing artists this week, on the strength of the first single, “Whataya Want From Me,” from his 19/RCA/RMG debut, For Your Entertainment, which debuted at #3 on this week’s sales chart. The track is already impacting Top 40 and Hot Adult, with Z100, KIIS, KHKS, KZZP, KHTS, KDWB, WFLZ, WPLJ, KYKY and more. Look for Lambert on Ellen (12/1), Barbara Walters (12/9), Conan (12/14) and Jimmy Kimmel (12/17). See the complete entry here.

Warner Bros. U.K. rock group Muse’s “Uprising,” from their fifth album, Resistance, remains huge at PoMo, where the single’s been #1 for almost three months. Look for a Saturday Night live performance Dec. 19, while the band’s “I Belong to You” is on the new Twilight soundtrack. They’re also on the cover of Spin, with radio shows from 12/11 through 12/15. See here for more details.

Columbia’s Boys Like Girls return with “Two Is Better Than One,” the follow-up single to the Top 10 “Love Drunk,” with Top 40 and Hot Adult right on it. The group just did NBC’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, with The View (12/8) and MTV’s It’s On (12/9) up next. For more, click here.

Top Dog/Atlantic vet Uncle Kracker aka Matthew Shafer is Top 5 at Hot Adult with “Smile,” the single from his new album Happy Hour, and also gaining some traction at Country, with WYCD leading the way. Band just appeared on Regis & Kelly and Conan last week, and completed a tour with Train. To check out their entry, click here.

Merge alternative darlings Spoon return with Transference and its first single, “Written in Reverse,” already getting multi-format ads at WXRT, WRNR, WFNX and more. New album streets on Jan. 19, with a KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic appearance that week. U.S. tour begins this month, with big radio shows and Euro concerts to follow. Check out the full story here.
