KORN KOMING

Epic Rockers to Simulcast Concert to
30 U.S. Cities
In an unprecedented move, hard rockers Korn will kick off the release of its fifth album, Untouchables, with a June 10 performance in New York that will be digitally simulcast to 40 movie theaters in 30 U.S. cities.

The band, label Epic and United Artists have teamed for the unique promotion.

Tickets to the screenings can be bought at the theaters as well as online film-ticket services Moviefone and Fandango. Meanwhile, tickets to the show will be available at Korn's official site www.korn.com.

The movie-theater simulcast will begin at 10 p.m. ET with a half-hour documentary on the making of "Untouchables," followed by an hour-long performance.

"We see this as an opportunity to dynamically merge two of the most powerful forms of entertainment, music and movies," said Jeff Kwatinetz, Co-Chariman/CEO of Korn's management company the Firm, in a statement. "This is a groundbreaking way to present Korn and other artists in a sonically and visually superior medium and to revolutionize the movie theater business."

In related news, Korn will perform Wednesday at the El Rey in Los Angeles as part of a promotion with KROQ.
