KIM GARNERS UNIVERSAL PROMOTION

Sr. VP Marketing & Artist Development Adds Media Relations
Kim "Mon Feel the Noize" Garner has been upped to Senior Vice President of Marketing Artist Development & Media Relations for Universal Records by label President Monte "Video" Lipman.

Garner was previously Sr. VP Marketing & Artist Development. In addition to overseeing domestic marketing and artist development, she will now direct all of the label’s media activities, developing and implementing publicity campaigns, managing staff and developing strategies for the label’s Pop, Alternative, Dance and Rock rosters. Former VP Media and Artist Relations Ginger Greager has left the company, and ex-KSA/Enclave PR vet Jamie Roberts joins the publicity staff as a Sr. Director.

Prior to joining the label, Garner worked with Ray Danniels at SRO Management, where she worked with clients Rush and Van Halen.

Said Garner: "I am excited to have the opportunity to help further develop Universal as a leading source of dynamic new talent. And I am grateful to Doug Morris, Mel Lewinter and Monte for their continued support. One day, I even hope to meet them in person."

Added Lipman: "Since joining Universal, Kim has done a remarkable job, displaying tremendous leadership and a keen sense of strategy. She has proven herself to be an invaluable resource in the overall strategy of breaking our artists, and we are thrilled to recognize her achievements with this well-deserved promotion as the only one at the label who knows the words to every Godsmack song."
