MATULIC UPPED TO SENIOR VP, MCA

Lillian "Tiptoe Through the" Matulic has been promoted to Senior VP of Publicity at MCA Records by label president Jay "And Silent Bob" Boberg.

In her new post, Matulic continues to devise and implement press and media campaign strategies for MCA recording artists, overseeing a national staff, interfacing with all label departments and reporting directly to Boberg. She remains based at MCA's Santa Monica headquarters.

A native of Los Angeles, Matulic launched her career as a publicist at Priority in 1989, where she worked with such artists as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and N.W.A., eventually rising to the position of VP of Publicity. She joined MCA's publicity department in 1995. Since then, she has worked with artists such as Mary J. Blige, Shaggy, K-Ci & JoJo, The Roots, Common and The A*Teens.

"She has managed to become one of the most effective and media-savvy executives in our industry, while always retaining her extraordinary warmth and cooperative spirit.
