Based in New York, David Einstein, former editor of Gavin, has been named VP of Promotion, while Susan Jacobs, a former independent consultant and worldwide publicity VP at Sony Classical, has been named VP of Worldwide Publicity.
Both report to Jeb Hart, Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing.
"I am pleased to welcome both Susan and David to our worldwide marketing team," Hart said. "They bring a tremendous breadth of experience and skill to the company and will be invaluable additions to the RCA Victor Group."
Einstein comes to the RCA Victor Group from Gavin, where he served as editor since 2000. Prior to that, Einstein was National Head of Promotion for Palm/Rykodisc, after nine years as Senior Director, National Promotion, for Mercury Records.
Jacobs has worked as an independent consultant for such events as the New York Film Festival and Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing. Prior to that, she was Vice President, Worldwide Publicity, for Sony Classical, where she planned and directed worldwide publicity for such artists as Charlotte Church, Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell and the Three Tenors.
The RCA Victor Group is comprised of Windham Hill, Private Music, RCA Red Seal, RCA Victor, and Bluebird.
