HITS CO-SPONSORS A BENEFIT CONCERT

And You Thought We Never Did Anything Useful
Volkswagen Santa Monica, KROQ, Sam Ash Music, HITS and others will sponsor "Freedom," a benefit show to be held Oct. 9 at Los Angeles’ beautiful El Rey Theater.

All proceeds from the all-ages show will be donated to the American Red Cross and the Firefighters 9/11 Relief Fund to assist the New York and Washington, DC, relief efforts. The first 300 people at the show will get groovy swag courtesy of loving sponsors such as HITS (and you thought we wouldn’t do anything useful with all the promo stuff you give us), Hard Candy Cosmetics and Jones Soda.

Artists playing the event include Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, V2’s Col. Parker (featuring GNR’s Gilby Clark and former Stray Cat Slim Jim Phantom), Virgin’s Miranda Lee Richards, Universal’s Zoo Story, Comes With the Fall, Goldn, Powder, Straight Line/Atlantic artists Snapdragon, Octone recording artists Maroon and John Easdale and Mark Englert of Dramarama.

Tickets for the show are $10. For more information on the event, contact Mike Galaxy of Indy Hits.
