ABSOLUT-LY VIRGIN

Liquor Company and Megastores
Toast Each Other With Tie-In
You've loved them for as long as you can remember. When you were a teenager, they brought you solace and comfort from a cruel world. As an adult, you've turned to them to reminiscence and get you through tough times. Those bottles of Absolut sure are helpful—and they contain a delicious treat as well. Not only that, but those Absolut ads have always been kinda cool.

So raise a toast to Virgin Megastores, which is giving away poster-size reproductions of the Absolut Album Covers collection, featuring classic album art from John Lennon & Yoko Ono, David Bowie, the Velvet Underground and Judas Priest. All consumers who purchase two or more CDs featured in the campaign get a free poster. To make it easier to, um, swallow, the albums Aladdin Sane, The Velvet Underground and Nico, Two Virgins and British Steel—as well as discs from Pink Floyd, Queen and other classic albums—are discounted.

And here's a quote from Heather Brown, Senior Manager of Strategic Marketing for Virgin Entertainment Group, North America, delivered just before cracking into one of the many free bottles comped by Absolut as part of the deal: "From Keith Haring to Andy Warhol, Absolut has a long history of supporting the arts. Virgin Entertainment Group is thrilled to work with Absolut as it extends into the recording arts and showcases the Absolut Album Covers campaign in Virgin Megastores. Now, let's do some Jell-o shots."
