YOU CAN CALL IT "AL"

We Knew The VP Talked Softly, But Until Now We Weren't Sure He Carried A Big Stick
Forget Britney Spears' hairy belly or Jennifer Aniston's naked butt… the Rolling Stone cover that's causing the biggest clamor is that of Vice President Al Gore and his bulging desire to be Commander-In-Chief.

Magazine owner and Gore supporter Jann Wenner interviewed the Democratic presidential candidate for the issue. The resulting cover photo showed Gore wearing khaki pants with a bit of a… let's just say accessory.

According to Inside.com, magazine sources said the photo was retouched to hide Gore's swelling Democratic spirit.

Naysayers who scoff at the thought of a well-hung candidate dismissed Gore's manhood as simply a ploy to sell more issues.

Said one insider: "There was controversy over this cover because a lot of 20-somethings who are their target audience are not interested in politics. They [the editors] were worried that it wouldn't sell and they thought the leak would help—it's turned into a little bit of a scandal inside the office."

The other theory is the image was altered to make Gore's crotch more prominent. Sources said his pants were scrunched to enhance his assets. "It was a combination of things. He was taking a step forward, and his thumbs were tucked into his pants which were too tight anyway."

Oliver Stone has already promised a two-and-a-half hour movie to "uncover" the truth.

While many photos are retouched, the magazine maintains the package is all Gore. A rep told the New York Post: "This is silly. We didn't touch up the cover photo."

Said associate photo editor Audrey Landreth: "We didn't enhance it or anything. Once I saw the shoot I was like, ‘Wow. Okay ... now you're gonna vote for him, right?' His pants just happen to be baggy, and you're not used to seeing him at that angle, with that light."

Is that candlelight, with a Barry White record playing in the background?
