Jackson’s representatives and the mayor said in a statement that the March 14-15 visit was called off after discussions with a private investor stalled.
After his first visit to Warsaw in 1996, Jackson was interested in building a family recreation park in the city and signed a letter of intent for a $500 million project. The project was held up by difficulties in finding an appropriate site.
The statement says that Jackson still hopes to go ahead with the theme park plan in the future.
"Now I guess I’ll just have to fly all the little Polish boys and girls to the Neverland ranch in my backyard," he was heard saying to his chimp, Bubbles.
