Meanwhile, Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home" (as our Crossover columnist, Andy Arnold, informed us last week) is getting folks seriously hot and bothered, and not just at radio—it's #4 on the iTunes singles chart at the moment of this writing.

On the Alternative side, it seems Cage the Elephant will have the most impact of any song hitting the format this week; 40 stations played the track on its first day. Vampire Weekend's follow-up to "Diane Young" and the new one from veteran rockers AFI are both getting early boosts on the West Coast, while Scandinavian PoMo kids NONONO are on the verge of charting.

Oh, and speaking of impact, a Frisbee struck a UMPG security guard in the forehead this morning. Fortunately, he was already unconscious.
