YOUR RADIO CHART PREVIEW

Epic returns to the top spot with Travis Scott's "Goosebumps" (Grand Hustle), followed by Chris Brown's "Party" (RCA), which rises to #2. Epic also pushes DJ Khaled's "Shining" f/ Beyoncé and Jay Z (We The Best) into the Top 10. RCA's breakout R&B star Khalid will see a great increase for "Location" (Right Hand Music Group) along with good gains for both of Columbia's songs, Russ' "Losin Control" and Calvin Harris' "Slide" f/ Frank Ocean and Migos. Nicki Minaj's "No Frauds" f/ Drake and Lil Wayne (YMCMB/Republic) will experience another huge increase this week, while Glassnote's Childish Gambino will have its best week to date with "Redbone."

YOUR RADIO ADD RECAP

It was a fairly slow week with new adds, but YMCMB/Republic's Nicki Minaj still found a way to stay Most Added by grabbing 17 more stations this week on "No Frauds" f/ Drake and Lil Wayne. Columbia got 11 adds with Lecrae's "Blessings" f/ Ty Dolla $ign (Reach), while Jason Derulo's "Swalla" f/ Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign (Beluga Heights/Warner Bros.) nabbed 10. And finally, Childish Gambino's "Redbone" (Glassnote) sees another 5 believers come on board.

THE BALLSTREET JOURNAL

The first full weekend of the NCAA Tournament is in the books, and most people’s brackets have not been completely busted. There were not too many upsets thus far, minus Duke, Villanova and Louisville. It hasn’t been as exciting as the years past to me, but there are still a number of games to come. I have Kansas winning it all.

Republic is still winning, as Gary Spangler and Davey Dee take The Weeknd “Party Monster” (XO) #1 this week. He was up 315 spins and jumped #3-1. Marian Hill’s “Down” (Photo Finish) moves to #13, and Post Malone’s “Congratulations” climbs to #18, thanks to a 265-spin increase. They also have the highest debuting track this week with Nicki Minaj f/Drake and Lil Wayne’s “No Frauds” (YMCMB). It was up 515 spins, good enough to land her at #29 this week. Julia Michaels’ “Issues” just misses debuting this week, coming in at #42. She was up 95 spins. Lorde’s “Green Light” (Lava) continues to develop, landing at #56. They are impacting Amine’s “Redmercedes” this week, a follow up to his Top 5 debut “Caroline.”

I have been yapping about Childish Gambino for over two months. Well this week it debuts at #34, up 170 spins! Nick P. at Glassnote has been very patient, letting the Urban formats warm this up. But with the sales, streams and Shazam numbers too big to ignore, Rhythm stations are really finding this.

Over at Epic, the push is on to bring Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps” (Grand Hustle) #1. Sujit Kundu has him sitting #3 on the printed chart, but already at #1 on the building chart for the week. DJ Khaled f/ Beyonce and Jay Z’s “Shining” (We The Best) is at #11, up 145 spins, and the goal is Top 5. Future f/Rihanna’s “Selfish” (A1/Freebandz) is on cruise control, as it is up another 375 spins. It jumps to #23 this week. 21 Savage & Metro Boomin’s “No Heart” was up a healthy 75 spins, and closes in on the chart.

Columbia’s Ayelet Schiffman and James White have Russ’ “Losin’ Control” enter the Top 15, gaining 180 spins. The Chainsmokers’ “Paris” (Disruptor) is right behind at #15, and Calvin Harris f/Frank Ocean and Migos’ “Slide” explodes #26-19, up another 480 spins. This record is really connecting and looks to continue his success. They are impacting Lacrae f/Ty Dolla $ign’s “Blessings” (Reach) this week. It is already #51 on the Rhythm chart, and Top 25 at Urban.

Def Jam’s Rick Sackheim and Noah Sheer have Big Sean’s “Moves” (G.O.O.D.) #19-16 this week, up 160 spins. Jeremih f/Chris Brown’s “I Think of You” climbs to #28, and Bibi Bourelly’s “Ballin” just misses debuting this week at #43. She was up 75 spins.

RCA’s Inca and Lori G have Chris Brown’s “Party” inside the Top 5, and still moving. It was up 210 spins this week. Khalid’s “Location” (Right Hand Music) adds another 225 spins to his total, and is at #12.

Warner Bros. Lee L’Heureux sees a nice debut with Jason Derulo f/Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Swalla” (Beluga Heights). It lands at #30 this week, thanks to his 250-spin increase.

Capitol’s Greg Marella and Dixie Tipton continue to develop Katy Perry’s “Chained to the Rhythm.” It was up 45 spins and now sits at #38. It is Top 10 at Pop.
