THE BALLSTREET JOURNAL

Exciting week in the world of sports as we crowned a new NCAA National Champion with the North Carolina Tar Heels. It wasn’t a pretty game, with poor shooting and sloppy play. But the Heels found a way to get it done. Also, baseball season is now officially underway. The Baltimore Orioles won their first game, and the Yankees lost their season opener. The Cubs did as well, so let’s hope this is a sign of things to come.

Well, it took a lot of hard work and effort, but a congrats are in order for RCA’s Inca and Lori G (right), who muscle Chris Brown “Party” to #1 this week! It was up 480 spins. Next up is Khalid “Location” (Right Hand Music), which is #11 after gaining 280 spins. They just impacted the ZAYN f/PARTYNEXTDOOR “Still Got Time” and it comes in at #65. It was up 110 spins, and is looking to build on the momentum of the top 40 success. They are impacting Goldlink f/Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy’s “Crew” this week.

Epic’s Sujit Kundu is now focused on getting DJ Khaled f/Beyonce and Jay Z’s “Shining” (We The Best) to the top. This week it moves #10-7, gaining a VERY impressive 510 spins. Future f/Rihanna’s “Selfish” (A1/Freebandz) climbs to #16, adding an additional 235 spins to his total. He also has “Mask Off,” which was up 200 spins, and just misses debuting. Look for it to be on the chart next week. 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’s “No Heart” comes in at #58.

Republic’s Gary Spangler and Davey Dee have Post Malone’s “Congratulations” at #15, gaining 240 spins. Nicki Minaj f/Drake and Lil Wayne’s “No Frauds” (YMCMB) grabs another 420 spins, which puts them inside the Top 20 this week. Julia Michaels’ “Issues” moves to #38, while Lorde’s “Greenlight” (Lava) slides up to #55. Star Cast’s “Ain’t About What You Got” (Fox) was up 90 spins, and it is just getting started. They are impacting three records this week. Drake has two new records that are on fire, as “Passionfruit” (YMCMB) is already at #25. It was the highest debut this week, and sees an increase of 800 spins. His other track, “Portland,” is at #51, up 80 spins. They also have Amine’s “Redmercedes” going this week.

Def Jam’s Rick Sackheim and Noah Sheer welcome Big Sean’s “Moves” (G.O.O.D.) into the top 15. He was up 315 spins. Jeremih’s “I Think of You” is at #29, and Bibi Bourelly’s “Ballin” is at #41. Axwell^Ingrosso f/Kid Ink’s “I Love You” is at #52. Iggy Azalea’s “Mo Bounce” is off to a great start as she is up 125 spins going into her official impact week.

Columbia’s Ayelet Schiffman and James White see Russ’ “Losin Control” climb to #12 this week. He was up 255 spins, and the Shazam and streaming numbers continue to grow as stations move it up in rotation. Right behind is Calvin Harris f/Frank Ocean and Migos “Slide.” This was up 320 spins, and the momentum continues to build. Lecrae f/Ty Dolla $ign’s “Blessings” was up 170 spins, and comes in at #47. This is sure to debut next week. The same goes for The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This” (Disruptor). It sees a 125-spin increase, putting it at #42 for the week. They are impacting Ayo & Teo’s “Rolex” this week. It is up 90 spins, and has a very nice buzz surrounding it.

Are you playing “Redbone” from Glassnote’s Childish Gambino yet? It climbs to #27, and was up another 240 spins. This is a multi-format record that just continues to develop when and where it is played.

Lee L’Heureux and Warner Bros. have Jason Derulo f/Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Swalla” (Beluga Heights) up 190 spins and looking to break into the Top 20 this week. The streaming numbers shot up this week, and he saw 22m YouTube views in one week.

It looks like Chris Brown's "Party" (RCA) will take the top slot this week, while big spin increases continue for several records, including DJ Khaled's "Shining" f/ Beyoncé and Jay Z (We The Best/Epic), Russ' "Losin Control" (Columbia) and Calvin Harris' "Slide" f/Frank Ocean and Migos (Columbia), along with Nicki Minaj's "No Frauds" f/ Drake and Lil' Wayne (YMCMB/Republic). THE BALLSTREET JOURNAL

The Final Four is all set, and North Carolina is the only team I have left in my bracket. It has been a fun tournament to watch, and I still don't feel like there is a clear-cut favorite. My money is still on North Carolina, with their size and speed.

Congrats are in order for Sujit Kundu and Epic as they take Travis Scott’s "Goosebumps" (Grand Hustle) # 1. It was up 400 spins. Next up for them is DJ Khaled f/Beyoncé and Jay Z’s "Shining." It moves inside the top 10 this week after gaining another 265 spins. Future f/Rihanna’s "Selfish" (A1/Freebandz) climbs #23-19, adding 320 spins to the total. He has another track that is really picking up steam, "Mask Off." It’s at #50, up 165 spins. This is likely the next single, but the focus is still on "Selfish." Rick Ross’ “I Think She Like Me” comes in at #49, and 21 Savage & Metro Boomin’s “No Heart” is at #59.

RCA’s Inca and Lori G have Chris Brown’s “Party” moving #4-2, gaining 190 spins. Khalid’s “Location” (Right Hand Music) continues to really develop, as it sees another 345-spin increase, and moves to #11. Make sure you check out the remix! They are impacting ZAYN f/PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Still Got Time” this week.

Columbia’s Ayelet Schiffman and James White have Russ’ “Losin Control” climbing to #13, thanks to a 285-spin increase. The goal is top 10 in the next few weeks. Right behind is Calvin Harris f/Frank Ocean and Migos’ “Slide.” This one is up 440 spins, and continues to see stations move it to sub-power rotations. They impacted Reach’s Lecrae last week, and “Blessings” is already at #48. It was up 95 spins, and continues to build at Urban. Next up is Ayo & Teo’s “Rolex.” This is a big buzz record, with great sales. It is currently at #66.

The Republic crew of Gary Spangler and Davey Dee welcome Post Malone’s “Congratulations” into the top 15. Up 315 spins, it continues to develop each week. Marian Hill’s “Down” (Photo Finish) is at #16, and Nicki Minaj f/Drake and Lil Wayne’s “No Frauds” continues to be the hottest record at the format. It moves to #24, and gains 765 spins, the most of any record this week. They debut Julia Michaels’ “Issues” this week at #39. Drake’s “Passionfruit” (YMCMB) sees radio jump on board to the tune of a 370-spin increase. His “Portland” f/Quavo and Travis Scott is also a track that radio is really into, and that was up 245 spins. (The label has not yet decided on an “official” first track). They are impacting cast of Star’s “Ain’t About What You Got,” which will be featured in the series’ season finale.

Def Jam’s Rick Sackheim and Noah Sheer continue to develop Big Sean’s “Moves.” It is currently at #17, and is up 180 spins. Jeremih f/Chris Brown’s “I Think of You” holds at #28, gaining 45 spins.
