Def Jam starts the year with a bang, as Justin Bieber’s “Yummy” gets an impressive 58 adds on impact. Columbia sees 24 stations come in this week on Tyga’s “Ayy Macarena,” while Epic gets 19 commitments with Flipp Dinero f/Lil Baby’s “How I Move.” Label mate Camila Cabello f/DaBaby’s “My Oh My” is right behind with 18 adds. Russ & Bia’s “Best On Earth” (Russ My Way/Columbia) closes out another 11 stations.
Here are the Mediabase year-end charts for Urban and Urban AC.
There were no records officially impacting this week, so it was a clean up week for some of the newer records. Interscope’s Tory Lanez “Jerry Sprunger” gets 18 more adds, followed by a Warner’s Partynextdoor “Loyal” f/Drake with 16 new commitments. Interscope also sees 8 new adds in DaBaby's “Bop.” RCA’s Khalid “Up All Night” and Republic’s The Weeknd “Heartless” also close out 8 more believers.
Epic’s Travis Scott “Highest In The Room” will be this year's official last #1 record, as he leapfrogs Republic’s Post Malone “Enemies.” Interscope’s Mustard “Ballin” and QC/Capitol’s Layton Greene “Leave Em Alone” are both inside the top 5 and will be fighting for #1 in the new year. Columbia’s Arizona Zervas “Roxanne” and Republic’s The Weeknd “Heartless” will be the week's greatest gainers. Look for QC/Motown’s Lil Baby “Whoa,” RCA’s Khalid “Up All Night,” Epic’s Black Eyed Peas “Ritmo” and Interscope’s Tory Lanez “Jerry Sprunger” to all debut this week.
