THE BALL STREET JOURNAL

A huge CONGRATS go out to Dixie Tipton and her husband on the birth of Dorothy Dottie Darlene Tipton! Here’s to a happy and healthy year!

It’s looking like Drake’s turn to claim the #1 spot this week as “Laugh Now Cry Later” f/Lil Durk is at the top of the building chart and up nearly 800 spins. Republic’s Davey Dee and Garrett Ream grinded it out in 6 short weeks! Pop Smoke’s “The Woo” f/50 Cent & Roddy Ricch looks to enter the Top 5. It’s #6 this week after a 440-spin increase. They’re going to officially impact his other single, “For the Night,” next week. Lil Wayne’s “Shimmy” is up 185 spins, coming in at #21 and J Balvin/Dua Lipa/Bad Bunny’s “UN DIA (ONE DAY)” f/Tainy is right behind at #22 with a 120-spin increase. Skip Marley’s “Make Me Feel” holds at #38 and is still developing. Awgust’s “Never” continues to pick up new stations and they just impacted Daddy Yankee’s “Don Don” this past week.

Warner’s B Dot Scales has Saweetie’s “Tap In” at #3 this week. It’s up over 500 spins and could make it to #1 if Drake and Cardi B both peak fairly quickly. NLE Choppa’s “Make Em Say” is #36 and Popcaan’s “Twist & Turn” f/Drake lands at #48. This is a few short weeks away from a debut.

Capitol’s Greg Marella and Niles Goodwin have Internet Money’s “Lemonade” leaping #36-31, gaining 290 spins. They’re still full steam ahead on Ne-Yo & Jeremih’s “U 2 Luv.” They also officially impacted Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture” and it’s up triple digits. City Girls’s “P Talk” also impacts and there’s already a solid buzz on it. It was up 110 spins and is inside the Top 50 already.
