CALL MY AGENT:
SAMANTHA KIRBY YOH

HITS presents a brand-new feature on the agents who work behind the scenes to help get your favorite tours up and running. Do they want to deal with us? We're pretty sure that's a no. But ready or not, here comes...

Samantha Kirby Yoh: Co-Head Global Music, UTA

Kirby Yoh joined UTA four years ago as co-head of its music division after a 16-year run at WME and remains envied throughout the business for a client roster that boasts Arca, Björk, d4vd, David Byrne, FKA twigs, Florence + the Machine, James Blake, LCD Soundsystem, Lil Nas X, Massive Attack, M.I.A., Underworld, Rosalía and St. Vincent, among many others.

When she's not out covering a gig or deleting HITS' incessant emails, the veteran agent is busy as founder and board member of She Is the Music, a nonprofit focused on increasing the number of women working in the music industry, as well as the co-founder of Noise for Now, which connects performers to organizations fighting for reproductive rights.

Kirby Yoh will surely be dancing the night away during LCD's annual Bowery Presents New York residency, which descends upon Knockdown Center in Queens for 12 shows 11/21-12/15. Massive Attack, meanwhile, is about to launch its first U.S. run since 2019, including a high-profile set at Miami's Ill Points Festival (10/19) and New York's Forest Hills Stadium (10/24).

And now, two questions:

Best show you saw this year?

Ceremonia Festival in Mexico City. The enthusiasm and warmth of the crowd amplified the brilliant performances by many, including LCD Soundsystem, Yves Tumor, Arca and Sampha.

What’s your favorite concert venue?

Knockdown Center in Queens and Red Rocks in Colorado.
