YOUR RADIO CHART PREVIEWS

There’s a lot of movement inside the Top 10 this week with solid gains across RCA’s Doja Cat with “Kiss Me More” f/SZA (Kemosabe), Epic’s GIVĒON with “Heartbreak Anniversary,” Columbia’s Polo G with “RAPSTAR” and Interscope’s Kali Uchis with “telepatía.” Interscope also has two records enter the Top 20 as J. Cole’s “my.life” f/21Savage & Morray and Moneybagg Yo’s “Time Today” both continue to build. Look for Columbia’s BTS to debut this week with “Butter.”

THE BALL STREET JOURNAL

I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend. While the weather didn’t really cooperate, it was nice to unplug as we begin enjoying the summer and get ready to start traveling again. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to get out there!

Things are certainly getting off to a good start for Republic’s Davey Dee and Garrett Ream, who take Pop Smoke’s “Hello” to the #1 position (round of applause). It was up 265 spins, having taken 15 weeks to reach the top. Coi Leray’s “BIG PURR (Prrdd)” f/Pooh Shiesty is just getting started, but it’s already creating quite a buzz.

Over at Columbia, John Strazza and James White welcome Polo G’s “RAPSTAR” into the Top 10. He sees an increase of 265 spins and looks to move into the Top 5 within the next few weeks. Lil Nas X’s “MONTERO (Call Me by Your Name)” climbs from #16 to #13, enjoying a 355-spin boost. No surprise, this one is also enormous at Top 40. 24kGoldn’s “Company” f/Future lands at #27 this week, up 75 spins. Strazza and White impacted BTS’ “Butter” last week; it scored 25 adds. Up an impressive 315 spins and looking to debut in the next few weeks, this track is indeed like buttah.

For her part, Capitol’s Dixie Tipton is planning to take Mooski’s “Track Star” to #1 this week. He’s currently up 355 spins, moving from #5 to #3, so the top spot is well and truly within reach. Internet Money’s “His & Hers” f/Don Toliver, Lil Uzi Vert & Gunna picks up 355 spins but just misses a debut, coming in at #44. Trippie Redd’s “Miss the Rage” f/Playboi Carti adds 175 spins to his total, putting him in the Top 50. City Girls’ “Twerkulator” (“I’ll be back … that azz up”) is also creating excitement; it was up 255 spins and is now at #53.

Big congrats to Def Jam’s Nicki Farag, who has been upped to EVP/GM. Her new post should make it even easier to avoid our calls. Farag and Noah Sheer have also just dropped a DMX album. We are waiting with bated breath to see which tracks radio favors.

In the land of Interscope, Nino Cuccinello continues to drive Kali Uchis’ “telepatía” toward the Top 10. It sits at #12 this week thanks to a 330-spin boost and is already at #20 in the Top 40. Morray’s “Quicksand” also continues to amaze, up 200 spins and into the Top 15. Moneybagg Yo’s “Time Today” is currently at #24, while 42 Dugg x Roddy Ricch’s “4 Da Gang” enters the Top 30. Cuccinello also debuts J. Cole’s “my.life” f/21 Savage & Morray at #35, courtesy of a massive, 650-spin gain.

Warner’s B Dot Scales has Saweetie’s “Fast (Motion)” climbing five spots to #22 with an increase of 340 spins as Erica Banks’ “Toot That” stands its ground at #25. Scales debuts Majid Jordan’s “Waves of Blue” (OVO Sound) at #34, reflecting a 180-spin jump. Having experienced a 225-spin bounce, Anitta’s “Girl From Rio” enters the Top 50.

And last but certainly not least, RCA’s Lori G and Inca have positioned Doja Cat’s “Kiss Me More” f/SZA at #5 this week. Up an inspiring 570 spins, this track is moving quickly. It looks likely to take up residence in the #1 spot in two weeks. H.E.R.’s “Come Through” gains 170 spins to lands at #31. G and Inca also have Starboi3’s “Dick” f/Doja Cat, another record fixing to make waves. Look into it.
