THE BALL STREET JOURNAL

I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing 4th of July holiday weekend! We are in the middle of a heat wave on the east coast and the temperatures are over 95 degrees with a lot of humidity. It will be nice to see families gathered and have a fireworks celebration this year.

Speaking about celebrations, a big round of applause are due to Epic’s Rick Sackheim and Dontay Thompson for taking GIVĒON’s “Heartbreak Anniversary” (Not So Fast) to #1. It was up a whopping 935 spins and moved #4-1, taking a total of 13 weeks to reach the top. They also have DJ Khaled’s “EVERY CHANCE I GET” f/Lil Baby (WTB/Roc Nation) at #13, gaining 255 spins. Khaled’s other track, “I DID IT” f/Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby & Lil Baby, enters the Top 20 with an increase of 140 spins. BIA’s “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” sees a triple digit increase and is now perched at #24. Debuting at #39 this week is French Montana’s “FWMGAB,” which saw a 340-spin boost.

Over at Columbia, John Strazza and James White have positioned themselves to have the next #1 with Polo G’s “RAPSTAR” as it slides up to #3 with an increase of 545 spins. This one has its sights set to take over the top spot next week. Lil Nas X’s “MONTERO (Call Me by Your Name)” is also moving quickly as it moves to #6 this week with a 320-spins increase. Lil TJay’s “Headshot” f/Polo G & Fivio Foreign impacted last week and is already at #51. Up 183 spins, it looks to debut this coming week.

Over at Warner, B Dot Scales has Saweetie’s “Fast (Motion)” (ICY) at #15. Currently up 230 spins, they’re aiming for the Top 10 on this now. Erica Banks “Toot That” sees a 60-spin gain and comes in at #21 as Anitta’s “Girl From Rio” slides up to #28 this week. They also debut Wale’s “Angles” after less than one week of airplay, which saw an increase of 525 spins.

RCA’s Lori G and Inca have Doja Cat’s brand new single, “You Right” f/The Weeknd (XO/Kemosabe/Republic), making quite a buzz. It dropped on Friday and is already on the chart with over 435 spins. This will be the highest debut next week. H.E.R.’s “Come Through” is up triple digits as it moves to #23.

Republic’s Davey Dee and Garrett Ream debut SAINt JHN & SZA’s “Just For Me” at #34 this week. It gains over 315 spins as it continues to bring in new stations. Lil Tecca’s “Never Left” slides up two spots to #38 thanks to a 160-spin boost.

Def Jam’s Noah Sheer isn’t working any new singles, but I like to keep the shine on him, so hurry up and give us some new music, Noah!

Capitol’s Dixie Tipton stacks another 200 spins on City Girls’ “Twerkulator” (QC/Motown) as it climbs to #22. Migos’ “Straightenin” saw an impressive 400-spin gain and took a huge jump on the chart, moving #36-25.
