BPI BEGINS INCLUSION INITIATIVE
11/20/20

U.K. record label trade association the BPI has launched a membership inclusion program, offering free full BPI membership for a year to up to 20 labels and music companies either owned or run by individuals from underrepresented categories.

The initiative aims to remove any barriers to entry to the music industry for small labels and music companies run by diverse individuals from backgrounds that may not always have been served by the industry.

This includes access to the BPI’s training and education, international business and conference opportunities and trade mission webinars in support of exports and business growth. In addition, members will receive access to BPI events and partner events at discounted prices, possible legal support and copyright protection, and more.

The deadline for applications is 6pm U.K. time on 12/10. The successful companies will be announced on 12/16 and will receive their free 12-month membership beginning 1/1.
