SMP LATIN SADDLES UP WITH STREET MOB

Sony Music Publishing Latin has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Fuerza Regida frontman Jesús JOP Ortíz Paz and his música Mexicana label Street Mob Records, whose roster boasts more than 25 songwriters, producers and artists, including Chino Pacas, Calle 24, Clave Especial and Miguel Armenta.

Fuerza Regida has amassed more than 13b streams and several multiplatinum songs, including “TQM,” “Bebe Dame” with Grupo Frontera, “Sabor Fresa" and “Harley Quinn” f/MARSHMELLO. Its latest album, Pero No Te Enamores, recently became the first música Mexicana album to debut at #1 on Apple Music’s All-Genre Albums and Dance Albums charts.

“We couldn't be happier to team up with an artist and executive like JOP and Street Mob Records to help support and develop a fantastic stable of writers within música Mexicana and beyond,” said SMP President & CEO, Latin America and U.S. Latin Jorge Mejia. “This partnership with Street Mob is visionary and an incredible opportunity for the Sony Music Publishing family.”

Ortíz Paz said, "Partnering with Sony Music Publishing marks an exciting chapter for Street Mob Records. This deal shows our commitment to exploring songwriting within música Mexicana and beyond various genres. It’s a true reflection of the talent at Street Mob and what we’re creating together. With Sony Publishing, we’re building a partnership that aims to inspire the next generation of artists and leave a lasting impact.”

Fuerza Regida is currently on the road with its Pero No Te Enamores Tour. Meanwhile, we’re still in bed. Pictured telling us to "por favor vete" are (l-r) Toro Music Group's Diego Toro, Mejia, Ortíz Paz and SMP Latin Director, Creative Monica Jordan.
