STILL PAUSED: ONE YEAR AFTER BLACKOUT TUESDAY

Wednesday, 6/2, marks one year since Brianna Agyemnag and Jamila Thomas launched #TheShowMustBePaused, a campaign to encourage the entertainment industry to stand in solidarity with African-Americans, reflect and take action on social justice. They've announced the continuation of accountability with Still Paused.

With the new initiative, #TheShowMustBePaused is asking music companies and industry professionals to provide a self-accountability report, highlighting five things they've done to push the industry towards change in the last 12 months.

“As we look back on the past year, we would like to say thank you to the partners who have made it a priority to join us in this work," Agyemnag and Thomas said in a joint statement. "While this year has been rocky and extremely unpredictable, we are proud of what we’ve accomplished, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your support. The launch of this new campaign represents us formally asking people to turn their black boxes into actionable change for individuals and companies alike.”
