TOP 100 WEEKLY MARKETSHARE:
THE FULL MONTE

Republic closes out a history-making January with a 30% share of the market—the third straight week Monte Lipman’s supercharged label has hit 30% or higher. Team Monte has topped off this stunning monthlong run with a rare chart takeover, as Republic notches four of the Top 5 albums and six of the Top 10; Morgan Wallen’s shattering of country streaming records while topping that chart for three straight weeks; and the label’s grand slam behind genre leaders Wallen (country), Pop Smoke (hip-hop), Taylor Swift (singer/songwriter) and The Weeknd (pop).

Parent company UMG’s numbers aren’t chopped liver either, as it slices off 59% of the pie, landing nine of the week’s Top 10 albums, as Alamo/Geffen/Interscope’s Lil Durk, Grade A/Interscope’s Juice WRLD and QC/Motown/CMG’s Lil Baby (at #5, #6 and #9, respectively) join Wallen, Pop, Taylor (with two), The Weeknd and Ariana Grande on the leaderboard.

Our Top 100 Weekly Marketshare Chart, which is determined solely by volume, shows the relative performance of the major labels by percentage at the top tier of the overall business.
