KATY DROPS "DAISIES,"
KP5 DUE IN AUGUST

Katy Perry has released "Daisies," the first single from her forthcoming fifth studio album—referred to by fans as KP5—which she announced will arrive 8/14 via Capitol. The new track hit #1 at iTunes by midday on its release day.

The lead single follows a string of one-offs over the last year, most recently the baby-bump-unveiling video and song "Never Worn White." In 2019 she released three tracks: the gold certified "Never Really Over," "Small Talk" and "Harleys in Hawaii."

The official video, shot by Liza Voloshin from a safe social distance, received a YouTube premiere and features KP in lace-clad dress showing off her baby bump in a nature-filled scene. Additionally, Perry is set for a debut performance of “Daisies” on Amazon Music’s weekly live performance series on Friday (5/15) at 10am PT as well as on ABC’s American Idol season finale on Sunday 5/17 at 5pm PT.

Fans can now pre-order “Daisies”-themed bundles and visit Perry’s digital flower shop where they can send virtual bouquets and messages to friends and loved ones. Download and stream the single here and check out the vid below.
