U.K. CHARTS: BBC STARS SHOOT TO #1

BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge Allstars have topped the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart with Foo Fighters cover “Times Like These” (BBC) on 66k combined sales. Over on albums, Dua Lipa has returned to #1.

Charity single “Times Like These,” produced by Fraser T. Smith and featuring Lipa, Dave Grohl, Chris Martin, Jess Glynne and many more recording in lockdown, lifted to #1 from #5 this week. Of its 66k sales, 78% were downloads.

The Weeknd finished just 3k combined sales behind at #2 with “Blinding Lights” (Island).

Elsewhere, YouTuber/boxer/rapper KSI scores his fourth Top 40 and highest charting single to date at #6 with “Houdini” f/Swarmz & Tion Wayne (RBC/BMG). “The Scotts” (Sony) from Travis Scott and Kid Cudi is also new at #11.

The 1975 claim their highest charting single to date at #14 with “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” (Polydor), while posthumous Juice Wrld single “Righteous” (Interscope) opens at #26.

On the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart, Lipa’s Future Nostalgia (Warner Records) spends a third week at #1. The album finished 3k combined sales ahead of its closest competitor, Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (Virgin EMI).

Producer/jazz instrumentalist duo Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes have the highest new entry at #3 with What Kinda Music (Caroline). Further down, Trivium’s What The Dead Men Say (Roadrunner) enters at #12.
