TAG THEY'RE IT: SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Thirty years ago, people didn’t know what to make of Beastie Boys’ Paul’s Boutique. Now heralded as a classic, tracks like “Egg Man” are getting film & TV synchs and catching the ears and thumbs of Shazam users.

Three older tracks are bunched together on the Shazam USA Top 100 this week as synchs make them the week’s biggest movers. A placement on HBO’s Watchmen gives the Beasties’ 1989 Capitol release a surge, just ahead of Catie Turner’s self-released “Prom Queen”—it came out in March—that appears in the trailer for Shane Dawson’s docuseries The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star. Gordi’s “Heaven I Know” (Jagjaguwar), a 2017, is in the mix thanks to AMC’s The Walking Dead.

Apparently, lipsynching Frank Ocean’s “Chanel” (Blonded) on TikTok is a thing right now and it’s got the previous generation up in arms on Twitter. Regardless, the 2017 single is getting a thumbs up as is the new single from Lunay, Ozuna & Anuel AA, “Aventura” (Star Island).

New singles from Meduza, Coldplay and Dua Lipa are the biggest gainers in the U.K.
