THE OBAMAS' SUMMER PLAYLIST

The last—and only?—First Family with any musical taste has offered their summer Spotify playlist, a 44-song collection that ranges from Frank Sinatra and Charles Mingus to SZA and “Old Town Road.”

Barack and Michelle Obama mix it up by bouncing across seven decades, populating the playlist with hits and obscurities—gotta love that they even know who Sharon Van Etten is—that ends with a double dose of Q-Tip. A couple of rockers, an assortment of hip-hop and a reggae tune give you the sense that the family is ready to settle in on Martha’s Vineyard.

Meanwhile, the current White House occupant is struggling to access Vladimir Putin’s playlist.
