VINTEN LAUNCHING LABEL AT WMG, MOVES TO CONSULTING ROLE AT W/C

Warner/Chappell Co-Head of A&R Katie Vinten is launching a label within WMG, sources confirm. The label will be a partnership with Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Justin Tranter.

In addition to a new label deal, Vinten will move to a consulting role at W/C. This news follows the landscape-shifting news from earlier this week of W/C CEO Jon Platt's impending move to Sony/ATV.

Along with fellow Co-Head of A&R Ryan Press, Vinten was promoted in 2015 from VP. Her relationship with Platt goes back to their days at EMI Music Publishing, before she joined him at W/C in 2012. The pair's tandem success helped power the pubco to #1 marketshare last year.

Vinten has worked closely with hit songwriters like Tranter, Julia Michaels, Audra Mae, and Captain Cuts among others.
