FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Nine new albums fill up the iTunes albums Top 10 this flipover Friday with follow-ups from two hip-hop acts who had their breakthroughs last year. Both albums are streaming up a storm, too.

Def Jam’s Logic rises to #1 with Bobby Tarantino II while Lil Yachty’s Lil Boat 2 (QC/Motown/Capitol) docks at #6. The two albums are today’s top new arrivals at Apple Music as well: Bobby Tarantino II is #2 and Lil Boat 2 is #3.

Back at iTunes, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats return with their second album of vintage rock & roll sounds, Tearing at the Seams (Bottleneck/Stax), at #2.

Judas Priest’s first album in four years, FIREPOWER (Epic) sparks up at #3, while the sixth album from RCA’s Three Days Grace, Outsider, is #4.

Calum Scott, who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2015 and broke through with a cover of a Robyn track, sees his debut Only Human (Capitol) land at #7. Make Room (eOne), the third album from gospel musician Jonathan McReynolds, is #8.

Jimi Hendrix’ Both Sides of the Sky (Experience Hendrix/Sony Legacy), the third in a trilogy of collections of unreleased Hendrix recordings, is #9. The first full-length from Alter Bridge singer-guitarist Myles Kennedy, Year of the Tiger (Napalm), is #10.

Today show co-host Hoda Kotb started her morning at #1 on the iTunes songs chart as Kelly Clarkson’s musical adaptation of her book, “I’ve Loved You Since Forever” (Atlantic), tops that chart; a note on the single's page says $0.70 from each track sale will go to the charity HelpUsAdopt.org. And Eleven Seven's metal artists Bad Wolves crack the Top 5 with a version of The Cranberries' "Zombie" that makes the original sound like Katrina & the Waves.
