A NEW HIGHLIGHT REEL FOR
"THE CHAMPION"

Still glowing from her ACM nominations (for Female Vocalist of the Year and, with Keith Urban, Vocal Event), Carrie Underwood is back in the spotlight. The new video for the her smash "The Champion" f/Ludacris (Capitol Nashville) is here, and expands the song's themes of triumph and resilience.

The song, co-penned by Underwood, Brett James, Chris DeStefano and Luda and produced by Jim Jonsin, has already reached enormous audiences as part of both Super Bowl and Olympics coverage, and here, in a clip directed by Jimmy Lynch that premiered on The Today Show, athletic champions are joined by champions of civil rights, the #MeToo movement and other social flashpoints, all intercut with Carrie and Luda tracking the song. On social media, fans have been encouraged to share their own #TheChampion moments and thoughts. Underwood is currently at work on her first full-length for Capitol Nashville.
