FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE” (FDE/Interscope) has shot straight to #1 at iTunes and Thomas Rhett’s new BMLG track with Maren Morris, “Craving You,” is up to #3. Impressive for two tracks in their first 24 hours of release as the iTunes album chart welcomes seven newcomers in the Top 10.

Mastodon’s seventh studio album Emperor of Sound (Reprise) takes the #1 slot on this flipover Friday followed by Lifer from Christian rock veterans MercyMe at #2.

Jamiroquai’s first album in seven years, Automaton (Virgin EMI) comes in at #4. Trace Adkins’ first album for Wheelhouse, part of the Broken Bow family of labels, Something’s Going On, starts at #5.

Occupying slots 7-9 are Aimee Mann’s first record in nearly five years, Mental Illness (SuperEgo), Christian heavy metal band Demon Hunter’s Outlive (Sold State) and Goldfrapp’s seventh album for Mute, Silver Eye.
